We hear it all the time from our clients: "We just promoted someone and she was great at her job, but it seems like she doesn't know how to effectively lead a team." We also hear things like "He just moved into a team lead position and we're getting reports from employees that he's not giving feedback in a way that's helpful to the employees."
We also know that the employee experience is crucial to engagement and retention of employees. That's super important when there aren't enough people currently available to fill all the open positions in this country. According to Gallup, managers account for at least 70% of the variance in employee engagement scores across business units.
Isn't it time you invested in giving your new managers the skills and competencies they need to be successful?
We can help!
Many small businesses and start-ups don't have enough people to host an on-site course or the budget to provide multi-day training. Our online learning experience solves both of these issues by getting your new managers trained on important skills and not breaking the bank.
Our New Manager Bootcamp Training Experience helps teach the skills that new managers need to be effective.

“Amanda Haddaway was the best trainer any of us could have asked for. She encouraged everyone to tell their own stories, gave advice and presented the material very well. 5 STARS FOR HER!!!!! JUST AN AMAZING JOB. I came back and told everyone in my office how great she was. She is one of the main reasons I would recommend the training to others in my organization and outside of my organization. Thank you!”
“Amanda was wonderful! Very open and she really knew the materials in depth and was able to give practical applications, examples and guidance to many if not all attendees. I found her presentation extremely engaging and easy to follow.”
“Trainer was extremely knowledgeable. I want to grow up and be just like her. She did a fantastic job and kept the group engaged.”
"Excellent presenter. She was knowledgeable and to the point. Amanda was very effective and getting the point across while keeping the class on course. I would take another class with her any day!"
Our course is based on our proprietary Elevate Framework that utilizes the KNOW-GROW-FLOW model. Each module takes new managers step-by-step through a process to become a better people leader.
Your new managers will complete the program with more knowledge and confidence around their day-to-day management tasks and responsibilities. This gives you peace of mind and less liability as an organization.
Module 1: Introduction
In this module, we welcome participants to the course and get to know each other, as well as learn how to use the online platform. A preview of the entire training experience is provided, as well as expectations of the learners.
Module 2: Magnify your mission
New managers don't always understand how their role fits into the bigger picture of organizational success. This session explores the mission, vision and values of the organization to determine how these tenets can apply on a micro level in their departments and to their unique roles within the organization.
Module 3: Supercharge your style
New managers don't always know what effective management looks like because they've never experienced it themselves or they just don't know how to manage employees. This training session explores characteristics of effective management and allows participants to brainstorm on how they can be perceived as a leader in the organization.
Module 4: Lead with law
New managers often don't realize they have responsibilities (and liabilities) when it comes to labor and employment law. This session introduces new managers to applicable federal laws and discusses how they can limit liability through positive employee relations efforts.
Module 5: Power up performance
Employees want regular feedback, but many new managers don't know how to provide it or how to coach employees. Constructive feedback and discipline are even more challenging. This session gives new managers tools to assist them with having employee conversations and reviews the importance of regular feedback.
Module 6: Empower employees
New managers were promoted because they were good at their jobs, not necessarily managing people. By understanding basic project management and change management principles, new managers can incorporate sound practices into their teams for higher levels of efficiency. We also explore the fact that teams who trust their managers are more likely to embrace and accept change.
Module 7: Transform time
New managers don't have enough time to manage their teams and do their work. In this session, we uncover tried and true time management and organizational techniques to help relieve the feelings of overwhelm.
Module 8: Revolutionize recruitment
New managers don't always know how to interview and often aren't good at assessing candidates for fit on their teams. In this session, we explore behavioral-based interviewing techniques and learn how this method can help alleviate making bad hires.
Module 9: Orient + onboard
New employees who aren't properly onboarded are more likely to leave within the first six months of employment. In this session, new managers learn how consistent orientation and onboarding practices allow for new team members to be productive in a shorter period of time and feel like they are a part of the team faster.
Module 10: Explode engagement
Employees who aren't engaged aren't as productive and can ultimately bring down an entire team's morale and work ethic. In this session, we discuss strategies for engaging employees so that they know they are valued by their managers and the organization.
Group coaching calls
Participants will also be invited to participate in two group coaching calls during the program. This allows them to have real-time interaction with the instructor and other participants.
1. What is the format of the training?
The training is delivered online via our private classroom platform, which includes course content led by the instructor through recorded video and audio over PowerPoint files, discussion boards, knowledge check questions, exercises and worksheets for maximum student learning.
2. How is training delivered?
The training is online and asynchronous. Participants receive an email each week alerting them that new content has been released. They are encouraged to complete the module in the week that it becomes available to enhance their overall learning experience and stay on track with their fellow participants.
3. How long is the training?
Each module will take approximately two hours to complete.
4. How do I know my managers are participating in the online course?
Managers must complete the current module before they can move on to the next module. At the completion of all 10 modules, a certificate is generated for participants who complete the entire program. We are also happy to email you along the way to alert you of any progress concerns.
5. How will managers be engaged in the learning process?
The instructor will be a participant in the discussion boards to ensure that questions are answered and there’s a good flow to the discussion. The instructor is also always available via email for individual participant questions.
6. Are participants able to complete the training on their own time?
Yes, all modules are opened on Mondays and available until the person completes the program. However, we recommend that employers give their managers time to complete the modules during work hours. It’s also helpful to set the expectation internally that managers should complete the training in 10 weeks, and they will need approximately two hours each week to work through content and exercises.
7. What is the investment per participant?
We’re offering the program for $800 per participant, but the value is much higher. If this program was offered onsite, we would charge $10,000 per day, or $30,000 for the entire three-day program. In other words, this online version is a bargain for the same content and a very similar learning experience. Ask us about multi-manager discounts if you are enrolling more than one person from your organization.
8. I still have questions. Who can assist me?
We are happy to set-up a discovery call to learn more about your organization and its new manager training needs. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and to schedule a call.
